The Moonlight Riders 4-H Horse Club meets on the first and thrid Monday of every month.  Their meetings are held at 7:00 pm at the Fort Dalles Riders Association clubhouse located at 1023 Irvine St. in The Dalles, Oregon.  During the summer months of June and July we hold riding meetings every Monday at 6:00 pm.  These riding meetings are held in the Fort Dalles Riders Associaiton arena located next to the clubhouse.      Children are eligible to join 4-H when they enter the 4th grade and may remain active throught the 12th grade.      The Moonlight Riders 4-H club has been in existence for ten years.  The leaders and co-leaders help members with their horsemandship and horse knowledge.  The club prides itself in working with riders at all levels of horsemanship.  Beginners are very much welcome.  The club year culminates with the Wasco County Horse Fair which is held each August at the Wasco County fair grounds, located in Tygh Valley, Oregon.  The Wasco County fair offers competitive classes in showmanship, western and english equitation, trail, ground training, trot-a-course, jumping, dressage, and western gaming.      For more information about horse 4-H in Wasco County please call leaders Genny Olmstead at 541-298-5411 or Kathy Maxwell at 541-296-4018.
