GENERAL
INFORMATION
The
Fort Dalles Riders facility is located at 1023 Irvine Street in The
Dalles. We welcome horse lovers of all ages and riding disciplines
and invite you to become members of our club, and participate in the
many activities that the Riders club sponsors and supports. These
activities include, but are by no means limited to: riding lessons
(dressage, western, jumping, English), horse shows, clinics and
training, playdays, barrel racing, gaming, square dancing, parades,
and of course, trail riding.
We strive to:
- Promote the welfare
of horses by providing education resources for their proper care
and training;
- Promote healthy
family values by providing a drug-free and alcohol-free
environment;
- Promote for all ages
and skill levels, a continued involvement with horses and related
activities by providing a year-round facility; and
- Provide riding and
meeting facilities for 4-H, High School Equestrian Teams, Wasco
County Sheriff's Mounted Posse and Fort Dalles Pro Rodeo
Association.
Our
membership meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month at
7:00 at the clubhouse, located at 1023 Irvine Street in The Dalles.

MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
Membership applications
are available on
line, at The Feed Shack, Hughes Feed &
Grain, The Dalles Area Chamber of Commerce or at the clubhouse.
Yearly membership fees are $50 per family and are renewable at the
beginning of each calendar year. Please mail your completed
application and check to: Fort Dalles Riders Association, PO Box
491, The Dalles, OR 97058. |

Membership
privileges include:
- Access to
the Fort Dalles Rider's outdoor lighted riding arena,
clubhouse and trail course, located at 1023 Irvine
Street in The Dalles
- Members'
children may participate in the Junior Riders program,
and are then eligible to apply for the annual Duane
Fulps Memorial College Scholarship.

DISCLAIMER
The Fort
Dalles Riders Association is a private non-profit
organization. The facilities are supported and
maintained by the membership through annual dues,
proceeds from concessions, riding activities and
clubhouse rentals. Access is limited to members and
those participating in club sponsored activities (such
as horse shows, riding lessons, clubhouse rentals etc.).
Due to insurance liability concerns, these rules must be
strictly enforced. |
